We launched Toast Events as a series of events focused on creating a relaxed and open forum for exploring the challenges and opportunities that financial services companies face online.

Last week we hosted the first event: Simplify or Die: How Successful Insurance Brands are Streamlining their UX at Ace Hotel in Shoreditch and were joined by managers and analysts from Aon, Post Office Insurance, Lloyds of London and Vitailty Health amongst others.

We explored how and why the most successful insurance brands are utilising the latest technologies and UX best practice to deliver simplified experiences that empower their users. As the millennials come of age and take over an increasing proportion of the insurance customer base, companies that don't prepare and adapt now will ultimately lose out. Our panel of experts discussed the key themes of 2016 as well as strategies for overcoming common challenges that legacy insurance systems pose.

Darius Kumana kicked off the event with a challenge to the industry "Should we be bolder?"

Mark Lusted followed focussing on practical examples and lessons to be learned in his talk "Insurance UX: 2016 Trends & Innovations".

John Galsworthy rounded up the event discussing "Bypassing legacy insurance systems to improve the claims user experience".

We will be announcing the next event shortly at toast.events. In the meantime you can register to be alerted of new events.
