We celebrated Dock9’s 9th birthday this week, so it seemed a good time to look back at some of the key moments of the last twelve months. 2016 was a big year of growth for Dock9 - thanks to the team for their effort and exceptional work that made this all possible!
1) New Website
We launched our new website this week. After four years our old site was getting a little dated and the re-design gave our team an opportunity to flex their creative muscles with a complete blank slate.
We also used the project as an opportunity to take stock and reflect our company values and purpose. We documented and evolved the "9 Commandments" that underpin everything that we do. We help forward thinking companies succeed at digital.
Please browse around the site and let us know your feedback at hello@dock9.com!

2) Events
We launched the first in a series of breakfast events focused on digital transformation in the financial services sector:
Attendees included marketing managers from Aon, Post Office Insurance, Lloyds of London, BLP Insurance, Vitality Health amongst others.
Look out for more events in 2017!

3) Awards
We were incredibly proud to win Sitefinity Site of the Year for our work on Tradex. This was a great accolade and recognition of our role as a leading UK Sitefinity implementation partner on the platform.
We were also finalists for Agency of the Year at the Digital Entrepreneur Awards, and finalists for Most Impressive Agency Group at UK Agency Awards.

4) New Clients and Projects
2016 saw some significant client wins including:
5) New Team Members
Our creative and UX output took a big leap forward this past year with the addition of Haley (Creative Lead), Livia (UX Designer) and Judit (UX Designer). We strengthened our development team with the addition of Veronica (Sitefinity Architect), Sergio (Senior Developer) and Kim (Developer) and Dmitri (Project Manager). And finally Laura joined as our Marketing Manager.
6) Insurance UX report
We undertook a comprehensive review of user experience in the insurance industry and published our first report: Insurance UX Best Practice in 2016. Download the report here.
In addition to being downloaded hundreds of times it was cited by Paul Burrows, Head of Digital at AXA Insurance at the Digital Finance Conference in early 2016.
We're putting the finishing touches on our 2017 Insurance UX report which will be released in the next few weeks.

7) Office Revamp
With an expanded team we took on more office space and used that as an opportunity to re-vamp our office space and build out a unique working environment. The centre-piece of this is our new "Jungle Room" - a meeting space that is designed to engender creativity!

8) Fun
A successful team works hard and plays hard and in 2016 we made an extra effort beyond our regular team drinks. This included a team lunch at Sushi Samba to welcome new team members, Cluego, Laughology and Dock9 Olympics.

9) Client and Partner Drinks
We also had fun with our clients and partners, organising regular drinks at great locations in the City.

10) Onwards
Thanks to all involved in our journey this year. We have big plans for 2017, watch this space!
